Brexitland: worse immigration outside the EU and anti-Europeans agenda
Updated: Aug 23
Since the UK left the EU, partly out of immigration reasons, the situation got much worse than when it was in the EU.
Here are a few points highlighting why the migration issue is within domestic hands, and highlight what is really at stake to define the issue, too often mischaracterized by decision-makers and media. This is the starting point to approach. the topic in a pragmatic fashion.
The Replacement of Europeans (EU+) by African and Asian migrants

The Brexiteers' anti-European initiative resulted in the end of the legal freedom of movement for EU citizens to the UK, which led to a shift from European to non-European immigration.
A population of European origin can easily adapt and integrate into UK society and the British way of life, much like the British population that has settled in Spain, France, Italy, and other parts of the EU.
In contrast, the influx of African and Asian populations, which are very different in size and nature, has led to significant cultural differences and clashes, such as the riots in July 2024.
Despite warnings from Australian politicians that their point-based system is designed for mass migration and is unsuitable for reducing immigration levels, PM Johnson and the Brexiteers were "enamored" with Anglosphere models, leading to the "surprising" outcome of a sharp increase in immigration.

Brits : anti-racist
but Euro-xenophobic?
A choice made by the Establishment
Legal immigration is a more important issue than illegal migration, but the press misleads the population

Small boats" crossing the Channel frequently dominate the headlines in British newspapers and TV news. However, this focus presents a skewed perspective, overlooking the broader context. These "Small Boats" represent just a fraction of overall immigration. Legal immigration, primarily arriving by air, is straightforward to manage due to the UK's island geography, with centralized airport controls making regulation relatively simple.
...as Immigration driven by the Establishment

Mass migration is driven by business, government (NHS) and universities (an objective of 600k students a year).
Emergency migration fuelled by political crisis (war refugees) war in Ukraine, Afghanistan are a much smaller scale.
But what about climate migrants? Pro-migration activists frequently highlight those coming to Europe due to climate change. However, such migrants are not clearly identified in statistics, suggesting they are either absent or non-existent. Europe itself is experiencing the fastest temperature increases, already facing environmental disruptions and possessing limited resources and space to accommodate large populations.
The local unemployed pool of labour could have been used to fill up vacancies instead of migrants

Businesses could have tapped into the existing pool of unemployed domestic workers instead of importing labour from abroad, particularly from non-Western countries. One might question: Is importing labour cheaper? Easier to manage, or even exploit?
Both businesses and the government have made these choices, often at the expense of the local population.
Universities, driven by business interests, often prioritize training foreign students over nationals, risking alienation of a growing segment of the local population.
"Take Back Control" !
Immigration to an island like the UK can be easily controlled
The majority of arrivals in the UK occur by plane, making it easier to control these entries at airports compared to terrestrial or water routes. Why hasn't better control been implemented at airports?
The UK government has not allocated sufficient resources to manage the wave of immigration effectively. It has failed to address the crisis adequately and has not reformed the legal and social environment to reduce the country's appeal to poorer populations.
There is a lack of regular internal controls, such as labour inspections and ID card checks.
Social allowances for women with children are sometimes exploited by new migrants to prolong their stay in the country.
Equality laws and a legal ecosystem enable newly emigrated populations to maintain their original way of life without integrating, keeping them separate from the rest of society.
Cultural and political claims promote multiculturalism and condemn any criticism of this approach.
Instead of taking responsibility, the UK government prefers to delegate the management of migration inflow to neighbouring countries and blame them for the lack of results.

The Multi-cultural propaganda by the Establishment
The UK is a European country with minorities, not a multi-cultural or multi-ethnic country.
More than 2000 years of European history that shaped the country cannot be erased by 50 years of migration. Official data by UK Census 2021.
Media and politician should stick to data, instead of spreading baseless narrative.

Two EU and ECHR members (Austria and Denmark) managed to curb migration dramatically over the recent years: UK should take back control !
