France’s Political Chaos? Blame the Voters and the Media Who Spoon-Feed Them

France is drowning in political gridlock, and everyone is screaming for the President’s head. Too easy. The real culprits? The voters who put him there twice! and the media that turned elections into a reality show instead of a democratic exercise.

The French electorate whines about a paralyzed National Assembly, but who elected this mess? They did. Not once, but repeatedly. In 2022, they handed power to a fractured parliament. In 2024, they doubled down. Fifteen candidates for President were on offer in the first round, yet they chose this. Now, like the Brits with Brexit or the Palestinians with Hamas (yes, really who votes for Hamas? Only cretins!), the French must live with the consequences of their own collective choices.

What was the grand strategy? Fear. Rather than test the radical right RN for two years and boot them if they failed, very likely showing they have no better recipes than other parties, voters opted for chaos: a government too weak to govern, all to avoid an RN majority. Now, if RN wins in 2027, France could be stuck with an inexperienced, radical government for five long years. Brilliant.

The Press calling for President resignation! Mirroring and encouraging consumers' mentality of getting rid of things they do not want any longer and not bearing the consequences of their choice.

And let’s talk about the media, the real puppeteers. In 2017, they buried François Fillon over his wife’s “fictitious job”, a practice as old as politics itself. In 2022, they were so into their darling Éric Zemmour, turning the campaign into an "entre-soi" series. No real debate, just scandal and spectacle. Macron’s late, tactical entry. Two elections in a row, the press failed to do its job.

Here’s a radical idea: Ban media from dropping bombshells during the four-month campaign. Scrutinize candidates before and after, but let the campaign focus on policies and character. Any outlet that disrupts the democratic debate should face consequences. Neutrality? Please. Mainstream media savage the far-right RN while coddling the radical left. The rise of partisan outlets like CNews is just blowback against the left-leaning bias of public broadcasters, like in America with FOX and Britain with GBNews? End result: polarized news outlet living in parallel worlds, serving an activist agenda rather than complete thorough analysis.

Bottom line? A National Assembly split into 13 warring factions, a political swamp where nothing gets done. This is what democracy looks like when voters act like spoiled consumers, not citizens. They want to recall the #President or cancel politicians they dislike, as if national governance were a Netflix subscription, one click to unsubscribe from reality.

So here’s the hard truth: France’s paralysis is a mirror. The people, aided and abetted by a complicit media, broke their own system. The President stays. The voters? They should look in the mirror and think twice before they click “vote” next time. You wanted this. Now live with it!
