We can see that most TV debate for the EU election miss the point. They tend to talk of national topics which are at best are linked to the EU, but most of the time topics are national centric. Hence these debates are irrelevant as they don t help to understand what is at stake ie. the specific purpose of these elections.

  1. Intro: Explain the EU Parliament. most of people ignore the role of the EU Parliament.

  2. What has been done by the EU Parliament. It is a good to set the perimeter of the discussion.

  3. The accountabily of each list: what have done, what did they vote for, their presence / level of activity vs absence. Too many MEPs just get elected for the perks, but don tdo much

  4. What are the lines for the coming mandates. What do they stand for?

  5. What do they do for the interest of the country? They will seat in different political groups, but on many issues they should become allies as the interest of national MEPs will differe from their peers in the same group and the country origin of MEPs will prevail over party lines. WHat is their strategies. It is good way to show if the MEP are competent and have the interest of their representatives at heart.
